We want to keep our staff and members safe! Here is some information on how we are doing just that during the COVID-19 pandemic.

To properly implement CDC Guidelines, we have designed our own Guidelines to ensure the safety of our members and staff. These include, taking temperatures, wearing masks, socially distancing, and adjusted hours for sanitation. Please look below for a more detailed view of our guidelines that each member is required to sign.
To ensure my safety and the safety of others, I agree to follow the guidelines mentioned below prior to entering the On Our Own of Carroll County Center:
1. I understand I need to call before coming to the center.
a. The phone number is 410-751-6600
2. I understand I have to wear a mask before entering the premises and will have it on at all times while inside.
3. Hand sanitizer will be provided by a staff member and I agree to apply it to my hands and lower arms.
4. I will allow my temperature to be taken and honestly answer the questionnaire read by a staff member to the best of my ability.
5. I agree to listen to staff review these safety guidelines each time I enter. I will sign the guidelines, if I have not already done so, making sure to take from the cup with sanitized pens and placing the pen I use in the un-sanitized pens cup. The guidelines need to be signed with each update so staff can know I understand the changes made.
6. I will not retaliate if the center has reached max occupancy based on the CDC Guidelines of no more than 10 people inside the building and am told I cannot be allowed in at this time (At all times there will be at least two staff in the building so the center can only allow up to 8 members at a time).
7. If I come in the morning of a day the center is open, in respect of my fellow participants, I agree to not come in the afternoon.

I understand and respect the following guidelines while in the center:
1. I will remain a proper social distance from all members which is six feet apart.
2. I will keep my mask on at all times while inside the center in respect of my fellow members’ safety.
3. I agree not to bring food or drink to the center.
4. Only staff will be allowed to touch the phone, light switches, tv remote control and computers, which will be wiped down after each use.
5. I come to an understanding that I will be using the same seat while at the center as well as wipe it off before I leave.
6. If I am at closing time either in the morning or evening of open hours, I agree to assist in sanitizing the center. This includes:
a. Wiping down all tables, doorknobs, light switches, phone and remote controls.
b. Floors will be swept and mopped.
c. All carpets will be vacuumed.
d. I will not attempt to leave the center right before hand to avoid helping unless there is an essential reason for leaving, which I will allow staff to ask and will answer truthfully.
i. Examples of essential excuses: medical/ public service appointment, occupational meeting/ hours, etc.
7. I will only use the center’s approved cleaning supplies.
a. Example: Plastic spray bottles have been purchased to ensure we are able to make FDA approved cleaning solutions as they are difficult to find (1/3 cup of bleach to a gallon of water or 4 teaspoons of bleach to 1 quart of water).

When I need to use the restroom, I consent to:
1. Sanitize my hands before entering the restroom.
2. Clean toilets, faucets, sinks, doorknobs and after each time I use the restroom with wipes provided by staff.
3. Sanitize my hands after clearing and cleaning the restroom.

I will not attempt to use the following for safety and precautionary reasons:
1. The kitchen, exercise room, managers office, back meeting room.
2. No food or coffee will be made at the center.

I acknowledge the following guidelines for smoking:
1. To ensure the safety of others, there will be a designated smoking area and time. Since we will only be open for 3 hours at a time, with two staff persons, one staff person will go out with myself and the other participants, together.
2. I agree to respect staff as they ensure the social distancing guidelines are being followed.
3. I will not attempt to leave the designated smoking area and come back without notifying and getting permission from staff.

Outside Agencies Only:
1. On Our Own of Carroll County has been a point of contact for community agencies to meet with individuals prior to the COVID-19 outbreak. You will be required to schedule appointments with staff to meet with members.
2. A room will be set up for you and the participant(s). Please clean and sanitize room after use.
3. You will be required to adhere to our safety guidelines mentioned for participants above.
